I walked out of the elevator on Monday morning with a big smile. The law firm felt more like home than anywhere I had ever been. I was a first year associate at one of the biggest corporate firms in the city and I felt like I had finally found my calling. I waved to the secretaries and paralegals as I walked past them to my small office down the hall.

Unlike most of the world, I spent most of my weekend looking forward to Monday. I loved the clean scent of the office building, the intellectual stimulation of the work, and the general sense of purpose that climbing the firm ladder to partner gave me each week. I didn’t have much of a social life, so Monday mornings were the pinnacle of my week.

“Fuck!” I heard a voice shout down the hall. I poked my head around the corner to see what was going on. I saw a sexy older woman in a tight pink tank top and too short skirt outside one of the partners’ offices. She had apparently twisted her ankle in her sky-high heels. She didn’t look like our average corportate client, but I figured I should try and be a gentleman just in case.

“Hey, let me give you a hand,” I called out to her as I walked over.

The woman turned and gave me a dazzling smile. She was drop-dead gorgeous with long, thick dark hair and sparkling green eyes that seemed to look straight into me. I just stopped and stared at her for a minute, unable to think clearly enough to form any coherent thoughts or words. The woman had a killer figure for a middle-aged woman that was accentuated by her sexy outfit. Her tank top highlighter her bountiful cleavage and perfectly flat stomach. She was the kind of woman who could get anyone she wanted, even men half her age. I realized that she could probably tell I was gaping at her and tried to pull myself together.

“I’m Sean,” I said extending my hand. “Would you like to me help fix your shoe? I’ve got some glue in my office.”

The woman placed her broken stiletto into my outstretched hand and watched me

with amusement.

“Thank you Sean,” she replied with a honey smooth voice. “You are a gentleman.” Her voice sounded almost like a purr.

“Oh, there you are Rose! Ah, I see you’ve been distracting the associates again.”

I turned and saw my boss, one of the managing partners, walking down the hall towards us. He turned to me.

“Rose is my wife and she manages to get into all sorts of trouble. In fact, that is why she is here today. You would be much better off if you stayed away from her, I assure you.”

He then turned to Rose. “Please dear, come into my office and we will discuss how to fix your most recent situation.
